Wellness and Preventative Care

Preventive medicine is the foundation of lifelong equine health. Through routine examinations, individualized vaccination programs, dental care, parasite management, and nutritional guidance, our goal is to identify potential health concerns early and help keep your horse healthy, comfortable, and performing at its best. Every horse has unique needs based on age, lifestyle, discipline, and environment, and we work with you to develop a personalized preventive care plan.Our preventive and wellness services include, but are not limited to:

– Comprehensive wellness examinations
– Core and risk-based vaccination programs

– Interstate health certificates
– Fecal egg count testing

Emergency Services

Medical emergencies can occur at any time, and timely veterinary evaluation is often critical to achieving the best possible outcome. We strive to provide prompt emergency care for our patients whenever possible and understand how stressful these situations can be for both horses and their owners. Emergency services are provided based on veterinarian availability, location, and the nature of the emergency, with established clients receiving priority whenever possible.While we make every effort to accommodate urgent cases, immediate response cannot always be guaranteed.Common emergencies we evaluate include, but are not limited to:

– Colic
– Choke
– Lacerations and wounds
– Eye injuries
– Severe illness or fever
– Toxicities
– Neurologic emergencies
– Foaling complications
– Down horses
– End-of-life evaluations and humane euthanasia

Digital Radiography
High-quality digital radiographs provide rapid, detailed imaging of bones and joints,allowing timely diagnosis of fractures, osteoarthritis, navicular disease, and many otherorthopedic conditions.

Regenerative Medicine
We offer regenerative medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, to support the healing of select tendon, ligament, joint, and soft tissue injuries. Biologic therapies harness your horse’s natural healing processes and can be an important component of a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment used for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. ESWT may help stimulate healing, reduce pain, and improve recovery inappropriately selected cases, particularly involving tendons, ligaments, bone, and other soft tissues.
